My interdisciplinary research focuses on queer data and resilience, critiquing the digital and automated tools we use in computational linguistics, developing more inclusive alternatives, and ensuring there’s a queer “human in the loop”.
Prior to moving into academia, I spent 15+ years in nonprofit communications, working with civil society organisations, universities, and cultural collectives, to design inclusive communications strategies and challenge long-standing narratives on who can and should lead just, sustainable and innovative social change.
While my focus is now firmly on research and teaching, I remain open to occasional, values-aligned communications projects.
